Product information

Backgammon is one of the oldest dice games in the world and an extremely popular game, the original version of which emerged long before the birth of Christ, and among other things, a board was found in the tomb of the legendary pharaoh Tutankhamun.

This classic board game is a really nice and practical version of one of the world's finest strategy games.

The suitcase measures 24cm x 37cm.

How to play Backgammon:

The game is played on a board with 24 points, divided into 4 quadrants. These are often numbered from 24 to 1, for one player counterclockwise starting in the farthest right corner, and for the other player clockwise starting in the farthest left quadrant. Points 1-6 are called the player's "home country," "inner home country," or simply "home," while 7-12 are called the "outer home country" or "outer land." 13-18 is the opponent's outer land and 19-24 is the opponent's home country.

Each player starts with 15 pieces in one color. The pieces can be on the points, off the board ("taken off"), or on the vertical dividing line between the quadrants ("the bar" or "the fence").

The goal is to get all your pieces to your home country and have them taken off the board. The first to do so wins.

Backgammon includes:

  • 1 Foldable game board that doubles as a suitcase with a handle
  • 15 white game pieces
  • 15 red game pieces
  • 2 dice cups
  • 5 dice
