Axis & Allies: Stalingrad places you in the midst of one of World War II's most decisive battles. In the summer of 1942, the German advance seemed impossible to stop, but six months later, the German 6th Army was encircled and forced to surrender due to winter, lack of supplies, and failed rescue attempts.

In this game, you can choose to lead the German forces (as well as some minor Axis powers) to try to replicate their rapid advance towards the city – or you can take command of the Soviet forces and organize a desperate defense as winter approaches, and a massive counteroffensive could turn the tide of battle. Stalingrad features its own game board with details such as ferries, snipers, and close combat in the city's streets.
