Wasgij

Wasgij are unique jigsaw puzzles where you do not assemble the image you see on the box, but rather a variant of the same motif. You might need to assemble a puzzle where you see what happens just before or after - or perhaps from a different perspective.

Wasgij is produced by the Dutch company Jumbo Games, with the first edition hitting the market in 1997. Since then, the concept's popularity has steadily grown and today Wasgij is known and loved everywhere.

Wasgij differs from traditional puzzles by completely breaking with the tradition of puzzles. You do not assemble the image on the front, but instead put together a variant of the same motif. There are three basic different types of Wasgij:

Wasgij Original

In this type, you need to use your imagination, and put yourself in one of the characters' shoes. What can they see that makes them react that way? When you solve the puzzle, you will reveal what the characters in the image are looking at. This way, it remains exciting until the end, what the motif will be.

Wasgij Destiny

In these puzzles, you lay the same motif as on the box, but now a leap in time has occurred. Sometimes just a few years - other times several eras. It's kind of a time-travel puzzle.

Wasgij Mystery

Here you need to use your imagination, and try if you can guess what happens in the very next moment, with the miniatures on the box. Something dramatic is brewing, but the course of events is always unpredictable with Wasgij.
