Trefl was founded in Poland by Kazimierz Wierzbicki and is a family-owned business that has been on the market since 1985. They produce puzzles, board games, and toys, all with both children and their parents in mind. Today, the company is Poland's largest puzzle manufacturer and one of Europe's leaders. Trefl holds licenses for several popular brands, such as Disney, Hasbro, and Mattel, which are frequently used on their many products.

The Trefl Group also includes Studio Trefl, which produces animated TV series, Wydawnictwo Trefl, a children's book publisher, and Baltic Media Group, a media company that produces advertisements. Kazimierz Wierzbicki is also a big sports fan and a former basketball, skiing, and soccer coach. Therefore, it is no surprise that his company has a long tradition of supporting local sports.
