Star Wars is an American epic space opera media franchise created by George Lucas. It began in 1977 with the first film, and quickly became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. Since Star Wars: A New Hope, numerous films have been made, and due to the success of the films, Star Wars is one of the franchises that has produced the most merchandise and sales items worldwide. The Skywalker saga consists of the following films:
