Get ready for interstellar combat in the Star Wars galaxy! In X-Wing Second Edition, you assemble squadrons of iconic spaceships from the entire Star Wars saga, and engage in thrilling battles with iconic pilots like Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

The game's rules have been improved since the first edition, and now focus even more on the art of flying the spaceships. X-Wing Second Edition lets you fight wild Star Wars battles on your own dining table. Intuitive rules create an intense atmosphere, as if you were part of the firefights, and the beautifully painted miniatures draw you right into the exciting Star Wars universe.

X-Wing is a game where two players meet with their own squadrons in fierce ship-to-ship combat. Each round, you must carefully plan the route for each of your ships, while trying to predict how your opponent will maneuver their ships. If you can outmaneuver your opponent, you can get their ships within firing range and open fire! A player wins when all of the opponent's ships are destroyed.

As the commander of your squadron, you start each round by deciding how your pilots should steer their ships. In X-Wing, each ship flies differently and has its own unique dial. With the unique dials, you can secretly plan how your ships will fly. Once the course is set for all ships, the dials are revealed and the ships are moved one at a time according to their initiative.

Then the action begins! While skillful maneuvering is important in X-Wing, raw firepower is necessary to take out the opponent's planes. Each ship has its own weapons and special abilities that must be utilized to the fullest if you are to win the battle. A ship can only shoot at an enemy ship if it is within its field of view, which is a 90-degree angle. If the opponent's ship is within the field of view, you can attempt to shoot it down. For example, a TIE-Fighter has an attack value of 2, so it gets to roll 2 red dice in its attack. An enemy X-Wing has an evasion value of 2, and thus gets to roll two green dice in defense. Each evasion symbol cancels a single shot, but all shots that are not canceled hit, and damage the plane.

Before you start playing X-Wing, however, you first need to assemble your squadron among some of the most iconic spaceships and pilots from the Star Wars universe. The first step is to choose a faction, such as Rebels or Empire. Then you can begin adding ships and pilots to your squadron. The ships in X-Wing can also be equipped with upgrades, allowing you to customize the squadron to exactly your playing style.
