HeaderMore about LegionBlockText2
Warfare is an inevitable part of the Star Wars universe, from the attack on the Rebel Alliance in the Battle of Hoth to small Rebel attack groups targeting stormtroopers on Endor. Now you have the chance to lead your own troops into battle in the Star Wars universe!
Star Wars: Legion invites you to participate in the battles of the Galactic Civil War as a commander of an army of troopers, powerful ground and repulsor vehicles, and even iconic characters like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. While innovative mechanics simulate war situations, there are plenty of unpainted, easy-to-assemble miniatures that give you the opportunity to create the Star Wars army you've always dreamed of - whether you're fighting for the Galactic Empire or the Rebel Alliance.
You are now ready to play! A game of Star Wars: Legion takes place over 6 rounds, and each round consists of 3 phases in the following order: Command phase, Activation phase, and End phase.
Command phase: in this phase, players try to create order out of chaos, by having their commanders control their units. 1. Each player must choose a command card from their hand and place it face down. 2. Each player turns their command card, and the one with the highest priority (shown by the number of pips in the top left corner) may take actions first. 3. Each player (the one with priority first) chooses a commander and issues orders with it. The number of orders is shown on the command card.
Activation phase: players (the one with priority first) take turns activating their units. This continues until all units are activated.
End phase: after all units have been activated, players prepare for the next round. Each player discards all their faceup command cards on the game board; they cannot be used again in this game. Then each player retrieves their order tokens and unit cards; extra tokens are discarded. Players then remove all aim, dodge, and standby tokens from their units as well as one suppression token (if any) from each of their units. If all a player's commanders have been defeated, they must promote a unit leader by placing a commander token near the miniature.
If a player has no more trooper units left when they lose their last commander, they cannot choose a new one and can no longer play command cards. The player with the round counter moves it one number forward and hands it to the other player.
If all a player's units have been defeated, that player is eliminated, and their opponent wins the game. If no one is eliminated after 6 rounds, the player with the most victory tokens wins. If this is also the same, the player with the highest point cost of the destroyed units wins.
