Schleich Plastic Animals

The best gift one can give children is to foster their creativity and imagination at an early stage. The detailed craftsmanship of Schleich's handmade miniatures lays the foundation for endless imagination, helping to develop the child's creativity and imagination on their own.

Friedrich Schleich began in 1946 by manufacturing dolls made of wire and wood, which were covered with soft velvet. Over the next 10 years, the Schleich family grew; friendships were formed. And even then, it was clear: The best thing is the community. Thus, by the mid-50s, there were already 70 different miniatures, some of which became celebrities, such as Walt Disney's™ Bambi and Pluto.

It was impossible not to fall in love with them. Afterwards, the animal family welcomed new members in the form of a sea lion family, elephant, and kangaroo. They already then sparked enthusiasm for nature in people of all ages. In 1955, the friendly Smurfs and The Forgotten Land joined the Schleich brand, making the product world ever more colorful and lively. In the 80s, the animal miniatures began their triumph with the great diversity that conquered all children's hearts. Increasingly, the Schleich family was invited into children's rooms to create joy, cheerfulness, and imagination.
