Even more Pokémon appear as rare illustration cards with fantastic artwork – catch them all in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet expansion!

The set includes:

  • Over 190 cards
  • 10+ New Pokémon EX; a hint at a returning game mechanic
  • The introduction of Tera Pokémon ex with a crystalline appearance
  • More than 30 Trainer cards
  • Dozens of Pokemon and trainer cards with special illustrations

Scarlet & Violet focuses on Koraidon and Miraidon, both included as Pokémon Ex. This set is the first featuring Pokémon, items, characters, and locations from the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games. Certain Pokemon Ex also feature the new Terastal mechanic reminiscent of Ancient Traits.

The expansion introduces various design changes to the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which will be implemented starting with the Scarlet & Violet expansion. For international players, the yellow borders will turn gray, to match the cards released in Japan, enhancing the Pokémon TCG experience globally while allowing the card's artwork to shine even more. Additionally, expansion symbols will be replaced by expansion codes and language codes across all cards. All Rare cards will be holofoil in booster packs, which will also contain 3 holofoil cards instead of 2. Subcategories for trainer cards, such as Supporter, Item, and Stadium, will be displayed in the top left corner, making them more visible. Basic Energy cards will receive an additional Energy symbol in the bottom right corner to make tracking easier during play. Pokémon Tool cards are now also considered a category of trainer cards along with Item-, Supporter-, and Stadium cards. They were previously an Item card.
