Beyond the obvious fun of opening a booster to see which cards you've received, there's also the added excitement of possibly pulling one of the rare cards. If you are working on many different decks, there's always a good chance to find some less rare cards that still fit perfectly into your deck. Booster packs are also a fun way to get a handful of new cards without having to invest in an entire display.

There are also many good reasons to buy an entire display. First and foremost, it's a great way to get a lot of cards, especially if you are just starting to play Pokémon or if a new set of cards has just been released. With a display, you get a wide selection of cards and can immediately start building decks.

When you buy an entire display, you also get a significant saving compared to buying an equivalent number of boosters individually.
