A Pokémon card box gathers various Pokémon cards and other TCG (Trading Card Game) products into a box set. These typically contain one or more special promo cards, a handful of booster packs, and some other items like plastic sleeves for Pokémon cards, coins, Pokémon miniatures, etc. We have gathered a few things to keep an eye on when buying a Pokémon card box:

• Booster packs. Most Pokémon boxes contain a handful of booster packs, allowing you to expand your card collection. The number of packs varies between boxes and it also differs which card sets the booster packs come from. Some boxes contain only boosters from a specific set like Crown Zenith or Pokémon Go, while other boxes combine boosters from different sets.
• Promo cards. Many Pokémon card boxes include a promo card. These are often cards that can only be obtained in the respective box and are often alternative versions of existing cards. Many of these promo cards are also V, Vmax, or Vstar cards, making them a sure hit with collectors of such cards.
• Jumbo cards. If you collect large Pokémon jumbo cards, then the boxes are also a good place to acquire more. Many of the boxes also come with one or two jumbo versions of other cards included in the box.
• Elite Trainer Box. This type of Pokémon box is perfect if you want to start playing with Pokémon cards. They include everything you need to get started. Everything from various markers and plastic sleeves for Pokémon cards to promo cards and a good handful of booster packs from the set the box is released for.
• Limited Edition. Sometimes Pokémon releases special boxes that are only available for a limited time or in a limited edition. These boxes often contain very special cards and cards with alternative illustrations, making them highly sought after. However, this also means that the boxes often cost more than regular boxes.
