Magic the Gathering is one of the original collectible card games. The game is set in a fantasy world, but is inherently a strategy game. Players use their own decks in Magic the Gathering, and each deck represents the weapons they can use in the battle for victory.

There are different types of Magic cards in Magic the Gathering, such as creatures (used to attack your opponent), sorceries, instants, enchantments, and lands (tapped for mana, which is used to pay for playing other cards). Magic the Gathering cards are divided into common, uncommon, rare, and mythic, where you get mostly commons in a booster pack, a few uncommons, a single rare, and only in some packs, a mythic.

In Magic the Gathering, or MTG as it is also called, there are five different colors of cards each specializing in certain things: Red is the most aggressive color, allowing for quick attacks on the opponent, and casting spells that deal damage to creatures or players. Green has Magic cards with large slow creatures and spells that can help you get mana faster. Black has Magic cards with creatures that can interact with your graveyard and spells that can destroy your opponent's creatures. White has Magic cards with large armies of creatures and player spells that can restore life. Blue has Magic cards with flying creatures and a lot of spells that can control the game.

In Magic the Gathering, players build their own decks of Magic cards and play against other players, trying to reduce the opponent's life to zero. In Magic, you can play several different formats, where there may be restrictions on how many Magic cards you can have in your deck, how many copies of each Magic card you can play, and from which series they originate. There are also formats where you play two teams against each other, a lot of players against each other, or the most common, one on one.

When you have chosen a format, you must build your deck, for an essential part of Magic the Gathering, happens already before the game begins, namely deck construction. It is a science in itself, and there is plenty of opportunity to get inspiration, both from your friends at your local Card Collective, and from the internet, where deck lists are often posted from major tournaments.

In our store Aalborg Card Collective, we have weekly evenings where we play Magic the Gathering and various events that you can participate in. The three weekly evenings are Monday where we play in the modern format, Thursday where we draft Magic cards, play legacy and old school, and Friday where we play standard. See times, prices, etc. under the "events" tab in the main menu.

In the store, you can always have a chat about Magic cards and an introduction to the game. At Card Collective, we are very fond of new players and are happy to help with advice. We also have a lot of binders in the store with cards that can be purchased, so if you are just missing a specific card, stop by the store and ask one of our employees. March of the Machine:

March of the Machine is the dramatic conclusion to the four-part Phyrexian storyline that began in Dominaria United - and ends by changing Magic forever. Elesh Norn expands her reach and brings the glory of New Phyrexia to other planes. Her faction has become the Machine Legion, the core of the Phyrexian armada. Humans and creatures on various planes are being "compleated".

Phyrexia - All Will be One:

The third part of the Phyrexian storytelling. Here, the fate of Dominaria and the multiverse is finally clarified. The Phyrexians grow stronger as Elesh Norn comes closer to her goal of conquering the multiverse. The set contains 271 cards that contribute to telling this exciting story.
