The first thing you need to decide is which army you want to play with. Will it be the Fearless Stormcast Eternals, the battle-hungry Orruks, or maybe something completely different? With over 20 different Warhammer: Age of Sigmar armies to choose from, there's plenty to pick from. All armies have a large selection of different units, and each has their unique way of playing. You can choose based on the style of play that suits you best, or you can choose the army with the appearance you simply like the most. You decide!
Starter Box
A starter box contains everything you need to quickly start playing Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. You get 2 different armies, the basic rules, and rules for the units included in the box. Starter boxes are a really good place to start playing Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, especially if you start playing with a friend, as you can each get your own army from the box. The 2 armies are intended as a starting point to build more on continuously. Starter boxes contain everything you need, at a fantastic price. However, not all armies are represented in a starter box.
Start Collecting
All the armies in Warhammer: Age of Sigmar have their own Start Collecting box. In the box, you typically get 3-4 units and a leader. There are not enough miniatures to play a full game of Warhammer 40.000, but it's a good place to start if you just want to try the game out. To have a complete army, you need to add extra miniatures. The advantage is that you can freely choose exactly the units you think fit best into your new army.
Battleforce
In the Battleforce boxes, you get a complete Warhammer: Age of Sigmar army for about 1000 points. With a Battleforce, you are ready to meet your opponents without needing to buy more miniatures. This army lets you immediately play real battles, but as you become more experienced, you can always consider acquiring new units, so your army is tailored to your personal play style. On top of that, you get a great saving, compared to if you had to buy the same miniatures individually.
