Imperial Fists

Imperial Fists are one of the first Chapters of Space Marines and were originally the VIIth Legion of the Legiones Astartes created by the Emperor himself from the other side of Terra during the Unification Wars.

Imperial Fists stand out from other Space Marine Chapters as they do not have a fixed homeworld, although they are mostly based on Terra. Instead, the Imperial Fists rely on their 10,000-year-old mobile space fortress, Phalanx, which serves as their fortress-monastery.

They maintain recruiting chapels in various worlds spread throughout the Empire. Part of the Imperial Fists' duties during the Great Crusade was to act as the Emperor's "personal Praetorians", accompanying him everywhere.
