HeaderMore about Flesh and Blood TCGBlockText2

Flesh and Blood is a trading card game originating from Auckland, New Zealand. The game was seven years in the making but was released in October 2019. Flesh and Blood takes place in the fantasy world of Rathe, where thrilling and dangerous adventures await the player – as the dramatic name also suggests. So far, Rathe consists of eight regions and cities: Aria, Demonastery, Metrix, Misteria, Pits, Savage Lands, Solana, and Volcar. The first booster set is called Welcome to Rathe, and several more have been released since – with more on the way.

The mighty warriors

You can start your Flesh and Blood journey by playing as the following characters:

  • Rhinar – Reckless Rampage: Reckless, brutal, and uncontrollable are three words that describe Rhinar very well. This beast of a man is driven by his bloodlust and basic instincts. Rhinar's card special abilities are Intimidate, Roll the Dice, and Strong Survive.
  • Bravo – Showstopper: The confident, charming, and theatrical Bravo enters the fray as if it were nothing more than a performance. When he is ready to strike, nothing can stand in the way of his mighty attacks. Bravo's card special abilities are Crushing Blows, Domination, and Star of the Show.
  • Katsu the Wanderer: The ninja Katsu is calm, extremely intelligent, and looks soberly at the situation. In the heat of battle, he summons the power of the wind and can thus defeat his opponents with the same speed as a hurricane. Katsu's card special abilities are Thousand Strikes and Be as the Wind.
  • Dorinthea Ironsong: The young lieutenant Dorinthea is a caring and curious warrior who wields her sword with grace and ease. Dorinthea's special abilities are Reprise, The Dawnblade, and Spread the Light.

How to play Flesh and Blood

Flesh and Blood starts with the players placing their hero card and its weapon card on the table. Then all other cards in the players' individual Flesh and Blood decks are shuffled. Throughout the game, players must keep track of how much life the hero has left. It is the hero's intelligence that determines how many cards the Flesh and Blood player must subsequently draw into their hand. Then comes the action phase, where weapons and/or attacks are prepared. Once that is done, you are ready to play. Now you must decide which action you will use. It could be your weapon, one of your hero's special abilities, or an action card. To win Flesh and Blood, the opponent's life must be reduced to zero. As a true hero, it's about making the right decisions. Luck is not something to rely on.
