Children's Games

We have a large selection of board games for children of all age groups. Below, we explain what it means when a game is a children's game, why it's good to introduce games to children, what types of children's games we have on this site, and how we at Card Collective can help you with your needs within children's games.

There are many different kinds of games for children. Typically, they feature a child-friendly design, are suitably simple, and have clear rules, making the games easy to approach for children. Games for children are also often intended for children in a specific age group, which can usually be found on the side of the game box and, of course, also in the descriptions of each children's game on this site.

There are many good reasons to introduce children to children's games. First and foremost, it's a cozy way to spend time with your child, and it doesn't require much preparation. But there are many other reasons to play children's games with your child. Games for young children help the child practice important skills, such as patience and following specific rules in a particular situation. Games for slightly older children, for example, can give children the opportunity to practice planning and executing a strategy, teach them about gravity, develop their spatial understanding, and give them the opportunity to develop their social skills. Typically, very young children will need an adult to play with and a greater degree of adult guidance, while older children can easily play games for children with other peers on their own.

Here at Card Collective, we have a large selection of games for children. We have children's games featuring fire-breathing dragons, sparkling diamonds, roaring dinosaurs, or perhaps a cool pink unicorn. We have classic children's games like Jenga, children's versions of well-known adult games like Cluedo Junior and Catan Junior, and children's games with famous characters like Aladdin and Elsa. We also have a large collection of games for children from the internationally recognized game manufacturer HABA. HABA is especially good at creating children's games that appeal to children's curiosity and they usually make children's games in good solid materials, in many different colors, so they are a hit with the children.

In our physical store in Aalborg, our skilled employees are ready to help you choose the right game for your child. We also have various games for children in the Game Room, which is located above the store. Here you can see the contents of a number of children's games, so you can better assess what the right children's game is for you and your child. There is also the opportunity for you to sit down in peace and try out some of the games. There will also occasionally be events specifically aimed at children, where we take the time to explain the rules so that both children and adults understand them. At Card Collective, we love board games and we want to share our experiences, so your children can experience the same joy of embarking on adventures into the world of games.

Popular board games for children

Animal Upon Animal

Animal Upon Animal is a fantastically fun stacking game for children of all ages and the young at heart. The game is about being the first to stack all your fine wooden animals on top of the big crocodile, but be careful, as the tower becomes more and more unstable.

Fried Egg

Fried Egg is a tactical game for the whole family, where you try to get rid of all your eggs first, to win.

Cluedo Junior

In this children's version of the board game classic Cluedo, players must figure out who ate the cake, where it was eaten, and what was drunk with the cake.

Jenga

Jenga is the classic family game where finger dexterity and cunning are put to the test. The dice determine which color block you must move, but be careful not to topple the tower!

Catan Junior

Now you finally have the chance to play Catan with the kids and introduce them to this fantastic game. On a ring of islands, players can build pirate hideouts and explore the mysterious haunted island, where the ghost captain lives. Along the way, players are aided by the parrot Coco.
